In the Science club, students will do many fun things. Students will enjoy chemistry experiments, physics challenges such as mouse trap car races and egg drops, dissections of different animals and plants, Crime Scene Investigations (CSI), biology experiments, science games, nature field trips, and whatever else that is science related. Science will combine with the engineering club for some activities as well. Nothing is required and there is no homework. This club is designed for science adventures!

Westside Christian will be running an 8 - week (your choice of ski or snowboard) program to Mt. Hood Meadows each Friday in January and February. A nice coach-style bus will be transporting the group to the mountain. The leave time is still to be determined, but it will be during early release and we will be returning by 11:30 pm.

How do I book my spot on the bus?

• Buy your ski/snowboarding package online. Transportation is included in the cost of packaging. 
• There will be bus transportation. However, there will be an additional cost for bus transportation. There are 50 spots available on the bus for each trip (adults are welcome to purchase a seat on the bus).
• If you choose the 4-week option, make sure you select the correct month (January or February).
• If you have your own equipment and you are going for all 8 weeks, you will select transportation only ($200). The cheaper ticket option is a season pass. Click here to purchase. Make sure you purchase your ticket as soon as you complete the purchase for transportation.

Important - Once you have completed your purchase, you will click here to fill out and turn in the Westside Activities Waiver. This must be completed and turned in before you can get on the bus.

Please note

• Bus money is not refundable. Bus money will only be refunded if a trip is canceled by the transportation company.
• Members are expected to obey the rules of conduct on and off the mountain. Any club member who is disciplined for gross misconduct or referred to a chaperone by the Ski Patrol, may be expelled from the club.
• Adult chaperones have full authority. Chaperones will be identified on all trips.
• Please be prepared for COLD weather! Extra socks, sweatshirts, sweatpants to change into are recommended. Proper garments for winter sports are a necessity!
• Food and drinks are available at the mountain for purchase, however, packing a dinner and snacks may be healthier and less expensive.
• Lockers are available for rent. The club will always find an area at the lodge to establish a 'home base' for students and chaperones to meet. Clothing and packs may be left here as well.

The two advisors for this club will be Jason Housley and Cassandra Tyner. 

The purpose of this club is to introduce skiing and snowboarding as a healthy and enjoyable recreational activity for beginning members, and to help more experienced members continue their pursuit of skiing and snowboarding as a sport. As the emphasis for both students and chaperones is having fun; any individuals' behavior which is detrimental to the safe and successful operation of the club will be deleted from the club roster.
